What vehicles does MB699830 fit?

The MB699830 brake pump is designed for Mitsubishi Montero V20 and V40 model generations.

Is this an OEM or aftermarket part?

This is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Mitsubishi part, the factory-original component.

What does a brake pump do?

The master cylinder/brake pump converts mechanical force from the brake pedal into hydraulic pressure that activates the wheel brakes on all four corners.

When should the brake pump be replaced?

Replace if experiencing soft pedal, brake fluid leaks, brake warning lights, or if the pump fails pressure tests. Typically lasts 100,000+ miles with proper maintenance.

Is this a common failure item?

Master cylinders are wear items that eventually require replacement. Frequency depends on driving conditions, brake fluid contamination, and maintenance practices.

Can this be rebuilt instead of replaced?

Some brake pumps can be rebuilt with seal kits, but OEM replacement is often more reliable and cost-effective for vehicles with high mileage.

What's included with this part?

Typically the master cylinder assembly only; reservoir, seals, and brake lines are usually sold separately.

Is special bleeding required after installation?

Yes, the brake system must be properly bled of air after master cylinder replacement to ensure safe brake operation.
